Panda plant - Kalanchoe tomentosa- Tender Succulent
This is one of the easiest tender succulents to grow and one you can't resist touching! It's ok too because the leaves are solft like velvet. This kalanchoe - like many other succulents loves basking in bright light and sunshine. A mixture of direct, indirect and shade is a good balance of sunlight outside but give it bright light indoors in the winter. Only water once the soil has become dry and then soak the soil completely but do not leave water in the bottom tray or grow in a pot without drainage. . During the winter you'll need to water less - maybe only once a month or so depending on pot size & humidity level. Because this is a succulent - it stores water within its leaves, so even if you forget to water for a period of time the plant will be fine. Soil:I would use a cacti and succulent potting mix which drains easily. They will continue to grow and branch until they are about 1.5' tall but can easily be sheared back and cuttings used to start new plants. These are very well established 4.5" quart pots at a bargain price for a limited time only.
